For the 10th edition of Luminothérapie, Montrealers and visitors are invited in the universe of POP!, a surprising interactive installation by Gentilhomme creative studio. Let our local guides meet you, take you there and show you all there is to see in this amazing part of downtown Montreal. Roll a joint and have a safe and legal smoke anywhere you are allowed to smoke cigarettes! Really get to appreciate this seasonal outdoor art whilst enjoying a toke! Let our guides show you the way..
DESCRIPTION:
Every winter, a fun, luminous and interactive art installation lights up the Quartier des Spectacles, warming the hearts, bodies and minds of all who attend. The installation and its theme may change every year, but one thing remains constant: originality, creativity and the joy of playing pervade every corner of the Quartier!
Five boxes, five characters and as always the light and colors as protagonists to give some "heat" to the Montreal winter. That is the proposal of the Quartier des Spectacles for the tenth edition of the Luminothérapie.
As every year, the Place des Festivals , in the center of the city, becomes a space of light, where people forget the cold for a few minutes and enjoy the creativity that every year expresses itself in different ways.
For this winter 2019-2020 (November 28 to January 26, 2020) the proposal is called Pop! Five “monoliths”, five boxes of different colors and inside one of the five characters: Popo, Popup, Popli, Popette and Popotin, who will respond to the “incentives” of visitors.
Sing, shout, talk, everything goes to fill the light bars in each of the boxes and thus allow your protagonist to go out to continue the party.
